Badstübner has previously refereed BVB's games in Hoffenheim (3-1 in September 2023), at home to Bremen (2-3, August 2022) and Freiburg (5-1, January 2022), in Gladbach (2-1, April 2024) and in Stuttgart (1-5, September 2024).
