Fan information for the away game against VfL Wolfsburg

Next Sunday (22 December), BVB will play against VfL Wolfsburg at 17:30 CEST. Around 3,000 BVB fans from Dortmund will travel to support BVB at the Volkswagen Arena. We have put together the most important information for all travelling BVB fans.

Getting to the stadium

Arriving by train:

From Wolfsburg Central Station, it is about a 15-minute walk to the Volkswagen Arena.

Coaches:

  • Coaches can be parked in the away fan coach car park.
  • Destination address for your sat nav: In den Allerwiesen 1, 38446 Wolfsburg

Car/minibus:

  • VfL Wolfsburg recommends the Kästorf Park & Ride car park, from which free shuttle buses travel to the stadium at regular intervals.
  • Destination address for your sat nav is: VW-Tor-Nord, 38440 Wolfsburg

Admission to the stadium

  • The stadium will open at 15:30 CEST.
  • Fans should enter via the south and south-east away fan entrances.
  • The section for away fans is located in blocks 29 & 32-36.

Permitted fan merchandise

  • Small flags (pole length up to 200 cm, diameter max. 3 cm, empty pole made of PVC, open at the top and bottom, subject to inspection)
  • 5 swivel flags (telescopic poles from 200 cm, empty tube made of plastic, open at the top and bottom, subject to inspection) 
    • Carrying a flag is only possible if you have a flag pass, which requires prior consultation with the fan representatives team
  • Two-poled banners (pole length up to 200 cm, diameter max. 3 cm, empty pole made of PVC, open at the top and bottom, subject to inspection)
  • 5 drums & one set of drumsticks each (open below and subject to inspection) (permits already allocated)
  • 4 megaphones (already allocated)
  • Fence flags (must not be placed over advertising surfaces)

All fan merchandise will be checked before being taken to the stadium in the material lock at the south away fans entrance. 

Climbing over the fences/barriers is prohibited for safety reasons (risk of falling) and anyone caught doing so will be punished accordingly.

Permitted items

  • SLR cameras and compact cameras can be taken into the Volkswagen Arena. 

Prohibited items

  • Professional SLR cameras or similar cameras that appear suitable for professional photography
  • Video cameras 
  • Power banks and charging cables

Other information

  • At the away entrance, there is a possibility to deposit objects for a fee of €2. 
  • There is no fixed alcohol limit. Obviously heavily intoxicated persons will be denied access to the stadium. 
  • In the stadium, payments can be made both with cash or cashless payment methods (girocard, credit card, smartphone).
  • The north stand (blocks 1-16, as well as F), the western part of the upper rank of the main stand (blocks 62 and 64) and the "Wölfi" curve (blocks 37-44, as well as A) are designated areas for home fans. BVB fans are prohibited from entering these areas.
  • Please observe the stadium rules and regulations.
  • The police have also asked us to publish their fan letter.
