Fan information for the away game against Borussia Mönchengladbach

Borussia Dortmund will visit Borussia-Park on Saturday (kick-off 18:30 CET). Around 5,000 BVB fans will travel to support the team in Mönchengladbach. We have summarised the most important information below.

Travel

Arrival by car:

  • P4-P8 are car parking spaces.
  • Please note that the car parks are used by home and visiting fans.
  • Arrival via the A61 Autobahn, Mönchengladbach-Nordpark junction
  • Address: Am Nordpark 400, 41179, Mönchengladbach
  • Parking fee: €7

Travelling by bus/9-seater:

  • The ‘Bushalt Süd’ away bus car park is available for away buses.
  • Travelling via the A61 Autobahn, Mönchengladbach-Holt junction
  • Address: Am Borussiapark, 41179 Mönchengladbach
  • Parking fee: coach: €30, Nine-seater: €7

There are currently a number of roadworks on the motorways around Mönchengladbach, which may delay access to the stadium car parks on match day. Early arrival is therefore recommended.

Travelling by train:

  • Visiting fans are recommended to travel via the Mönchengladbach-Rheydt Hbf station. From there, shuttle buses will take you directly to the away section.
  • The admission ticket entitles the holder to a free return journey on the VRR and AVV.
  • A charter train will be in operation. This will depart from Dortmund station at 14:39 CET from platform 23 and arrive at Rheydt main station at 16:05 CET.
  • The return journey is on the charter train at 21:25 CET from platform 4 at Rheydt Hbf. Scheduled arrival in Dortmund is 22:44 CET at platform 23.

At previous away matches in Mönchengladbach, there have been isolated conflicts between home and visiting fans in the vicinity of the stadium. It is recommended to dress neutrally around the stadium. This also applies in particular to car parks P4 to P8 in the north of the stadium. Please observe the fan separation between home and visiting fans and avoid the home sections.

Entrance

  • Away fans enter via the south-east entrance.
  • The stadium opens at 16:30 CET (two hours before kick-off).

Permitted fan paraphernalia:

  • Fence flags (as long as space is available)
  • Five megaphones (already allocated)
  • Five drums (already allocated)
  • Ten waving flags
  • Double holders
  • Small flags up to 1.50 m pole length

The equipment entrance is located at gate 30, to the left of the away section.

Fan paraphernalia not permitted:

  • Pyrotechnics of any kind

Permitted items:

  • Cameras without interchangeable lens for private use
  • Drinks in Tetra Paks up to 0.5 litres
  • Backpacks and bags smaller than DIN A4
  • Backpacks for fence flags may be taken into the stadium after inspection.

Prohibited items:

  • Backpacks and bags larger than DIN A4
  • Powerbanks

Further information:

  • Backpacks and bags larger than DIN A4 can be handed in to an evidence room at the away entrance. Another, larger evidence room (‘luggage box’) is located next to the east entrance in the immediate vicinity of the away entrance).
  • The alcohol limit is 1.1 and random checks will be carried out.
  • Away fans with tickets for the North Curve and for blocks 12, 12A (East Stand), 20 and 20A (West Stand) will be refused entry to the stadium.

In the stadium

  • The away section is located in blocks 6 (standing area) and in blocks 6A, 7 and 7A (seating area).
  • In the stadium, you can pay with Girocard, credit card via smartphone and also in cash.
