Pre-Match Report
Sky to broadcast | Live ticker in the BVB app
Arrival: Ticket included in your ticket
This service from BVB and DSW21 is still unique in the Bundesliga: the match ticket for SIGNAL IDUNA PARK entitles you to an outbound and homeward journey in the entire state of NRW. This also applies to holders of plastic season ticket cards. Holders of a “print@home ticket” or a “mobile ticket” (for example, Apple Wallet) need to have a public transport ticket, which can be ordered online free of charge on this site, in addition to their match ticket.
Tickets: Secondary Market opened
The home game against Frankfurt is sold-out. SGE will be supported by 8,000 fans. The Secondary Ticket Market will be open until 16:00 CEST on matchday. It offers ticket holders a legal way to sell on their season or match tickets via the BVB Ticket Shop if they are unable to attend the match at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK in person. The ticket holder does not need to hand over their match ticket or their season ticket because the tickets can be blocked electronically and subsequently released again. The Secondary Ticket Market is available for all sold-out home games.
Live broadcast: Sky and Net Radio
The match can be watched on TV via Sky. The pre-match coverage starts at 17:30 CEST. Sebastian Hellmann will present the programme. Julia Simic and Lothar Matthäus will be the pundits. Wolff-Christoph Fuss will commentate the 90 minutes. The BVB Net Radio will give you the usual Black & Yellow take. Norbert Dickel and Boris Rupert will be the reporters. Match highlights plus the press conference and match reactions will be available via BVB-TV, among others.
Weather: Changeable and warm
The weather forecast for Saturday: initially there will only be sunshine. The temperature will rise up to 27 degrees during the day and fall to 20 degrees by the final whistle, when there will then be a 70% probability of rain.
Live ticker: Over to the app
BVB's digital channels operate at full throttle on matchday. And that's not only the case during the match, but throughout the matchday too – starting at 09:09 CET of course. In "Matchday Mode", the BVB app (click to download) offers news, pictures, posts, videos, statistics and plenty more match info besides. The live ticker starts at kick-off and updates you on all the important moments. In addition to the live ticker, there will be full match highlights, statistics and first-hand info on our social media channels Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. There will then be a match report plus reactions and facts to read on our website and on the app.
Opening opponent: SGE a good omen
Borussia Dortmund will face Eintracht Frankfurt in their season opener for the fourth time and for the third time at their own stadium, after 1979 (1-0 win through Wolfgang Vöge’s goal) and 2021 (5-2). There was a 2-2 draw at the Waldstadion in 1983. (br)
