Fan information for the away match in Stuttgart

On Sunday (22 September), BVB will travel to face VfB Stuttgart in their second away game of the Bundesliga season. The match in the MHPArena will kick off at 17:30 CEST. Around 6,000 BVB fans will be in attendance. We have compiled all the most important information for fans travelling with the team.

Arrival
• A8 from Munich, Augsburg, Ulm: Wendlingen junction, towards Esslingen/Stuttgart, turn off towards B10 Esslingen/Stuttgart. Then on the B10 towards Bad Cannstatt.
• A8 from Karlsruhe / A81 from Singen: Stuttgart motorway junction towards Stuttgart-Zentrum, B14 towards Bad Cannstatt.
• A81 from the direction of Frankfurt, Heilbronn: Mundelsheim junction – L115 towards Grossbottwar/Backnang – B14 towards Backnang/Schorndorf/ Schwäbisch Hall – B14 exit Benzstrasse (just before the B10)
• B14 from Aalen, Schwäbisch Gmünd, Waiblingen, Backnang: Take the B14 towards Stuttgart as far as the Bad Cannstatt exit. Signs with a stadium symbol will guide you from the motorways via the B10 or B14 directly to the MHPArena.

The MHPArena is located in the middle of the environmental zone of the state capital Stuttgart. Since 1 January 2019, there has been a year-round traffic ban in the entire city area for all motor vehicles with diesel engines in the Euro 4/IV emissions class and worse. This means that only the green sticker is valid in Stuttgart. Furthermore, a zonal traffic ban for diesel vehicles of Euro 5/V standard and worse has been in force since 1 July 2020 in the Stuttgart basin and the district of Bad Cannstatt (!), among other places.

Arrival by car:
• Away fans arriving by car can use the P7 car park.
Enter the following into your satnav: ‘Martin-Schrenk-Weg, 70372 Stuttgart’.
Arrival by coach:
Away coaches can park on Benzstrasse in the immediate vicinity of the away section. There are plenty of parking spaces for coaches on Benzstrasse.
Arrival by train:
• Take the tram line 1 to the stop ‘Neckarpark’. From there, the guest block is within walking distance (five mins.).
• Please avoid the train station Bad Cannstatt, which is considered a meeting point for the home fans.
• The ticket entitles you to travel on all VVS services on home match days from seven hours before the game until 17:00 CEST the following day.

Admission
• The stadium opens at 15:30 CEST.
• Access to the away area for blocks 61-65 is via the access road from Benzstrasse.
• Access to blocks 55, 59 and 60 is via a separate entrance – access via Fritz Walter Weg (entrance D3)
• During the last away game in Stuttgart, there were isolated disturbances between home and away fans in the area around the stadium. Therefore, please respect the separation of home and away fans and avoid the home areas of the stadium.

Permitted fan items:
• fence banners, as long as space is available (no obstruction of stairways, escape or emergency routes, emergency exit signs or advertising space)
• Five megaphones (already allocated)
• Five drums (open at the bottom, visible with one set of drumsticks each, already allocated)
• Double holders with stick length up to max. 2.00 m (PVC conduit)
• Small flags with a stick length of up to 1.50 m (PVC conduit)
• 15 large banners with telescopic poles up to 5.00 m (plastic conduit)

Please note that all flagpoles and sticks must have a PVC conduit with a maximum diameter of 30mm.

Permitted items:
• Digital cameras for personal use (no larger than 15 cm).
• Bags and rucksacks that do not exceed A4 size.
• Small umbrellas (folding umbrellas)

Prohibited items:
• Power banks
• Bottles and cans
• Larger umbrellas

• Pyrotechnics

Further information on admission:
• There is no place to drop off bags and rucksacks at the guest entrance. Please therefore leave your rucksacks and bags in the cars and buses.
• The alcohol limit is 1.0 per mille. Random checks will be carried out. No admission will be granted from an alcohol level of 1.0 per mille.
• Carrying and consuming cannabis is not allowed in the MHPArena.

Stadium
• The away section is located in blocks 61, 62, 63, 64 and 65.
• Payment can be made in cash at the kiosks. In addition, there are tills with contactless payment (EC, Google Pay, Apple Pay, etc.).

Additional information
• Fans who are subject to a stadium ban may remain in the nearby PSV home and watch the game. The PSV home is located on Fritz Walter Weg. Further information can be found in the Stuttgart police fan address.

• In the event of improper use of fan paraphernalia, VfB Stuttgart reserves the right to prohibit the introduction of fan paraphernalia for matches in subsequent seasons.

Barrier-free fan information
The seats for wheelchair users and visually impaired BVB fans are located in the Untertürkheimer Kurve area. Tickets for the visually impaired are located in blocks 75 A and B.
Access is via Gate 17 on Fritz-Walter-Weg. Volunteers will be on hand to help.
