Nuri Sahin: "We weren't there from the first to the last minute"

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Nuri Sahin criticised his team's performance: "You can't turn up and play like that!" he said after the 5-1 loss away to VfB Stuttgart.

Nuri Sahin (at the press conference): "Unfortunately the scoreline was deserved. We weren't there from the first to the last minute and didn't win a single tackle. You can't perform like that. This was the first time we've had to go through that. We'll deal with it very harshly, call a spade a spade, but then we want to look ahead, even if that sounds trite. In the final training session, everything felt really good. But you are always wiser with the benefit of hindsight. The way we performed today had nothing to do with physical fatigue. It was Bellingham\u2019s first foul in the game.
