Pre-Match Report

DAZN to broadcast | Referee from Sweden

Borussia Dortmund will go up against Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday. Kick-off is at 21:00 CET. We have compiled all the info on our Champions League home game in a compact format. This page will be updated if there is any news.

Referee: Nyberg in charge
UEFA have appointed the Swede Glenn Nyberg to take charge of the match. The 36-year-old will referee his 11th match in the Champions League and his second involving Borussia Dortmund (previously BVB's 1-1 draw with PSG in December 2023). He will be assisted on the sidelines by his compatriots Mahbod Beigi and Andreas Söderkvist. Dennis Higler from the Netherlands will be the VAR.

Kits: BVB in cup shirts
Borussia Dortmund will play in their usual cup shirts (black and yellow striped shirts, black shorts and yellow socks). The team from Donetsk will wear black shirts, orange shorts and black socks.

Tickets: Secondary Market open
This game is also sold-out. The visiting fans will be placed in blocks 55 and 56 in the north-east corner of the stadium. Approximately 800 tickets have so far been sold to people from Ukraine – some at special conditions. The Secondary Market will be open until 18:00 CET on game day. Ticket holders can legally put their season or match tickets up for resale in the BVB Ticket Shop if they are unable to attend the match at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK in person. The ticket holder does not have to give up their individual ticket or season ticket, as the tickets are electronically blocked and can then be re-released. The Secondary Market is available for all sold-out home matches.

Travel: Ticket included in your ticket
This service from BVB and DSW21 is still unique in the Bundesliga: the match ticket for SIGNAL IDUNA PARK entitles you to an outbound and homeward journey in the entire state of NRW. This also applies to holders of plastic season ticket cards. Holders of a "print@home ticket" or a "mobile ticket" (for example, Apple Wallet) need to have a public transport ticket, which can be ordered online free of charge on this site, in addition to their match ticket.

Live broadcast: DAZN and Net Radio
The match can be watched live on TV via DAZN. The pre-match coverage will start at 19:30 CET. Marco Hagemann will commentate on the game with Sascha Bigalke on punditry duty. Christina Rann will conduct the interviews. The BVB Net Radio will give you the usual Black & Yellow take. Norbert Dickel and Boris Rupert (pictured) will be the reporters. The BVB Net Radio will start 15 minutes before kick-off. It is available to everyone on the homepage and in the BVB app on iPhone and Android devices. Match highlights plus the press conference and match reactions will be available via BVB-TV, among others.
