09 days prior to his 46th birthday, the secondary school teacher from Osnabrück will take charge of his 95th Bundesliga match and his sixth involving Borussia Dortmund (three BVB wins and two defeats to date). Willenborg last refereed a game involving BVB in January 2023 (4-3 against Augsburg). Guido Kleve and Sascha Thielert will assist on the sidelines, with Sven Jablonski on VAR duties.

The match can be watched live on TV on Sky. The pre-match coverage starts at 14:00 CET. The programme will be hosted by Michael Leopold, while Dietmar Hamann will be in the studio as a pundit. Kai Dittmann will be on commentary duties for the match which is being broadcast on Sky Sport Bundesliga 3. Florian Schmidt-Sommerfeld will be the commentator for the conference broadcast.
