BVB legends to compete in the 2026 Legends Cup

Borussia Dortmund‘s team of legends will compete in the Legends Cup hosted by FC Bayern Munich on 18 January 2026. The match will be played at the SAP Garden in Munich in front of up to 10,000 spectators. The Black & Yellows‘ squad includes Roman Weidenfeller, Patrick Owomoyela, Kevin Grosskreutz, Sokratis, Marcel Schmelzer, Mladen Petric and Florian Kringe. The Borussia players will be coached by Nobby Dickel and Jörg Heinrich.

In the indoor football tournament, the BVB team will face FC Bayern as well as legends teams from Real Madrid, Juventus, Celtic and Eintracht Frankfurt. The tournament will be played in two groups in a five-a-side format. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals, before competing for the Legends Cup 2026 title in the final.

Borussia Dortmund‘s full squad of legends for the tournament will be announced in the coming weeks. Vodafone is the main sponsor, while PUMA and ROWE are partners of the BVB legends at the Legends Cup 2026.
