BVB support matchday campaign for women's EURO 2029 candidacy

As part of their Bundesliga home match against VfB Stuttgart, Borussia Dortmund took part in the nationwide campaign day to promote the DFB’s bid for UEFA Women’s EURO 2029. Various activities took place under the slogan of the German bid, “WE29 – Together WE Rise”.

From 21 to 23 November, clubs from various leagues across Germany took part in the matchday campaign. On Saturday afternoon at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, BVB showed their support: before the match, both teams came together for a group photo to present a banner with the inscription “WE29”. In addition, a special captain’s armband and referee jerseys with the inscription were used. The message was also conveyed through the presence of the campaign on the LED boards and the broadcast of the German Football Association’s promotional video.

In addition to Dortmund, the DFB will be bidding to host the 2029 Women’s European Championship in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hannover, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich and Wolfsburg. The members of the UEFA Executive Committee will announce their decision on 3 December 2025. Denmark, Sweden, Poland and Portugal are also bidding to host the tournament.
