Post-Match Report

Match facts: BVB clinical and committed in Leverkusen

The BVB put in a solid team performance in the away win in Leverkusen, covered a total of five kilometres more than their opponents (120.2 to 115.3 km), also sprinted more frequently (160-135) and were once again clinical at the top of the pitch, scoring two of their six shots. Leverkusen notched up a total of 16 shots on goal. Here are the match facts:

Golden goals: Aaron Anselmino and Karim Adeyemi each scored with their only shot of the game.

Using your head: Borussia scored two headers – matching their tally from the first eleven matches.

Good omen: When Karim Adeyemi has scored, BVB have never lost in the Bundesliga (15 wins, two draws). It was his third competitive goal in a row, and his 20th Bundesliga goal. It was also the second time he has scored with his head (the first came against Wolfsburg back in May 2023).

Hard to beat: Borussia Dortmund celebrated their seventh win of the season and have lost only one of their twelve games in the Bundesliga this season. Only league leaders Bayern Munich are yet to taste defeat.
