Meyer extends until 2027

Alexander Meyer will continue to represent Borussia Dortmund moving forward. The 34-year-old has again extended his contract with BVB for an additional year until 30 June 2027.

“We are delighted that Alex will continue to be part of Borussia Dortmund. He is an absolute asset to our team, not only because he is a very good goalkeeper, but also because he has a great personality. In recent years, Alex has proven that he can always be relied upon,” said BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

Meyer has been under contract with the Black & Yellows since 2022 and has made 25 competitive appearances (17 in the Bundesliga, seven in the Champions League and one in the DFB-Pokal).

Meyer emphasises: “Dortmund now feels like home to me. Over the past three and a half years, I have experienced many special moments with the club, for which I am very grateful. The discussions with the club management were characterised by mutual trust and great appreciation. It means a lot to me to continue to be part of Borussia Dortmund.”
