Starting signal for construction works at "BVB Founders' Church"
The "BVB Gründerkirche" (Founders’ Church) will not only be a place of reflection and remembrance, but also a symbol of the deep-rooted community and tradition that characterises Borussia Dortmund. Partners and sponsors have also already shown strong interest and commitment in contributing to the success of the construction project.
At the end of January, Hendrik Schabsky (CEO ATLAS GmbH & Co. KG) and Patrick Engel (Managing Director Stölting GmbH), among others, visited the site in person together with BVB managing director Carsten Cramer. During a tour of the construction site, the two sponsors also handed over two generous donation cheques for a total of EUR 17,500 to the BVB Founders' Church Association in order to provide substantial support for the ambitious construction project.
"The BVB Founders' Church is a project that is close to all of our hearts. We are therefore very grateful for the support of our partners, who are not only helping to drive this building project forward, but are also showing how important it is to work together to promote social cohesion," explained Carsten Cramer.
"It is a great pleasure and honour for us to be a part of this important project and to support BVB's Founders' Church. Borussia Dortmund is much more than just a football club, it is also an essential part of Dortmund's urban community. We are delighted to be able to contribute to further strengthening this connection," added Hendrik Schabsky.
Patrick Engel added: "The BVB Founders’ Church is a unique project that honours the history and values of Borussia Dortmund in a special way. We are proud to make our contribution and look forward to seeing the positive impact of this project in the community."
The BVB Founders' Church is scheduled for completion in 2026.
Fans and fan clubs, companies and private individuals are cordially invited to become part of this project as well. Support can be provided in a variety of ways - be it through donations or voluntary work.
