BVB to play friendly away to Sportfreunden Siegen

As part of their preparations for the 2025/26 season, Borussia Dortmund will play a friendly match against Sportfreunde Siegen. Kick-off is scheduled for 18:30 CEST on Wednesday, 30 July.

After 14 years, the Black & Yellows are returning to the Leimbachtal: BVB last played at Siegen's Leimbachstadion in October 2011, winning 2-1. “We are delighted to be back in the Siegerland region and so close to home. There is great enthusiasm for football in the region, and many people have close ties to the club,” explains Lars Ricken, BVB's sporting director.

SFS manager Matthias Georg says: “We have been in contact with BVB since our anniversary year and are very happy to be able to present our numerous fans in the region with a real treat for the start of the Regionalliga season in front of what is sure to be a huge crowd. A big thank you to BVB and its managing director Carsten Cramer. We look forward to seeing many well-known national players and to a great evening at the Leimbachstadion.”

It was Bellingham\u2019s first foul in the game. Günter fired the resulting free kick just past the left-hand post.<\/p>\nBVB responded to going a man down by bringing on Pascal Groß for Fabio Silva, and had hardly any extended periods of possession thereafter. The match took place almost entirely in the Dortmund half. Kobel brilliantly tipped a follow-up shot from Treu around the post in the 69th minute, and also showed strong reactions to save Suzuki\u2019s shot, which had taken a wicked deflection off Bensebaini, in the 74th minute. But 60 seconds later, Freiburg were celebrating the equaliser Höler did well to get on the end of Günter\u2019s cross and finished brilliantly, finding the far post.
