Svensson wins Borussia battle against Bensebaini, Sabitzer provides assist

Three Borussia players were in action with their national teams on Tuesday evening (10 June). The friendly match between Sweden and Algeria in Solna saw a duel between two BVB players: Daniel Svensson and Ramy Bensebaini were both on the pitch for the full 90 minutes as Sweden ran out 4-3 (2-0) winners over Algeria.

Marcel Sabitzer not only celebrated his Austria side's World Cup qualifying win in San Marino on Tuesday evening - the Borussia international also provided the assist for Marko Arnautovic's goal to bring the score to 3-0 in the 15th minute. Six minutes later, Sabitzer came close to making it 4-0, but his shot from long-range rattled out off the crossbar. His teammate Christoph Baumgartner netted in the 27th minute to bring the final score to 4-0.

Elsewhere, Gregor Kobel kept a clean sheet in his side's 4-0 (4-0) friendly win over the USA in Nashville on Tuesday night.
