BVB to play in special KidSuper jersey at FIFA Club World Cup
For the first time, Borussia Dortmund’s players will wear the new jersey during their opening match against Fluminense (June 17, 12 pm/6 pm CEST). The jersey is part of the “PUMA x KIDSUPER” collection, which combines hand-drawn graphics, watercolor palettes, and designs rooted in club culture to give football a fresh new look. Other clubs participating in the Club World Cup and outfitted by PUMA will also wear jerseys from this collection.
The BVB jersey merges the traditional club colors of black and yellow with KidSuper’s artistic creativity, featuring hand-drawn elements that create an energetic design: Inspired by the geometric structure of a honeycomb, hexagonal cells cover the shoulders of the jersey, while drawn strokes define the lower part.
The collection includes not only the replica and authentic jerseys but also a special goalkeeper jersey in a pink design with yellow accents.
Another standout feature is the material used to make the jerseys: With PUMA’s innovative RE:FIBREtechnology, unused polyester is transformed into new fabric. Old becomes new – again and again!
The jersey is available starting today in the online shop and from 10 am in all fan shops at a price of 100 Euros. For an additional 10 Euros, the Club World Cup logo can be added to the sleeve. The BVB players will start the Club World Cup with their long-standing partner Evonik as the jersey sponsor. As the tournament progresses, the new main sponsor Vodafone will appear on the jerseys.
