BVB women start training camp

The Borussia Dortmund women's football team departed for their training camp on Friday morning (1 August). The Black & Yellows will first travel to Liechtenstein for an international pre-season tournament before continuing on to Austria, where they will spend five more days preparing for the new season.

The training camp represents a highlight of this year's pre-season preparations for the BVB women's team. Head coach Markus Högner will travel to Ruggell in Liechtenstein with the entire first-team squad. On Saturday (2 August) and Sunday (3 August), the Black & Yellows will face two Swiss teams, FC Winterthur (second division) and FC Rapperswil-Jona (first division), as well as Austrian top-flight outfit SCR Altach, in the tournament.

On Tuesday, the team will then continue from Ruggell on to Austria and once again set up their training camp in Westendorf in Tyrol, where intensive training sessions are on the agenda in order to create the optimal foundations for the start of the Regionalliga season. The BVB women will return to Dortmund on Saturday next week (9 August) in order to take on Juventus at Stadion Rote Erde as part of the season opening event on Sunday (10 August, kick-off: 13:00 CEST).
