Day 2: live updates from the training camp in Saalfelden

From 4 to 9 August, BVB have set up their tents in Austria. Over the six-day training camp in Saalfelden, the team are stepping up the intensity of their preparations for the new season. We will keep you informed about everything you need to know surrounding the Black & Yellows on camp.

After the training camp got off to a wet start on Monday, we look at the weather forecast for today: the sun has his hat on, and is about to come and play.

The players have begun their sporting activities for the day, starting in the fitness tent before heading straight to the training ground.

It’s BVB’s first time in Saalfelden, but traditional fan evenings are also part of the agenda for the training camp in Austria. This year, new signings Jobe Bellingham and Patrick Drewes, as well as BVB legend Nobby Dickel, joined fans for the evening.

We out there must also stand together and fight against adversity. Every single player saw today what is most important in life: health.\u201d<\/p>\nEmre Can was particularly happy about a reunion. The captain had already visited little Mustafa in the hospital a few weeks ago. The welcome on ward K41, the paediatric oncology ward, was correspondingly warm when he arrived with the whole team this time. \u201cMustafa is extremely cool and extremely strong. He is a little fighter. We had a great time together last time, and again today. The children get a real boost when we come here. It\u2019s nice when we can put a smile on the children\u2019s faces,\u201d said Can, adding: \u201cI also take a lot away with me. Sure, football is important, but this here is real life.
