BVB: thank you for an impressive display

After Borussia Dortmund's 3-0 win over Union Berlin on Sunday, BVB would like to thank the fans for putting on another impressive choreographed tifo prior to kick-off.

The 25,000 fans on the South Stand began by holding up grey signs in the air, with the Bundesliga trophy in the middle, captioned below by Adi Preissler's legendary saying: “All theories in life are grey.” Then the order came to switch grey to green. And then came another famous Preissler quote: “Decisive is what happens on the pitch.” On the green grass was an image of a sliding Borussia player, while the upper-part of the stand represented a fan block. Pure goosebumps throughout the stadium.

“A huge compliment and a big thank you to everyone who contributed to this fantastic display,” said Aki Watzke, Borussia Dortmund’s chief executive.

It was Bellingham\u2019s first foul in the game. Günter fired the resulting free kick just past the left-hand post.<\/p>\nBVB responded to going a man down by bringing on Pascal Groß for Fabio Silva, and had hardly any extended periods of possession thereafter. Kobel brilliantly tipped a follow-up shot from Treu around the post in the 69th minute, and also showed strong reactions to save Suzuki\u2019s shot, which had taken a wicked deflection off Bensebaini, in the 74th minute.
