Post-Match Report

Julian Brandt: “Lucky” at first, then a “well-worked goal”

Julian Brandt put BVB 1-0 up in a strong first half. After Serhou Guirassy's late and fortunate winner, he too was “very relieved, especially when you look at how the game went”.

Brandt spoke of a “difference between the first and second half” and said: “It was a battle of attrition that ebbed and flowed. We were too slow, made poor decisions and simply took too many touches of the ball. We let Wolfsburg back in it in the second half and were lucky in some situations.” Regarding the winning goal, he said: “It was a well-worked goal. Felix, Fabio and Serhou did really, really well. That's individual quality for you.”

Comments on the match will follow later this evening.
