Pre-Match Report
Countdown to Augsburg: tickets, kits, referee, broadcast
Tickets: resale market is open
The home match against FC Augsburg is sold out with 81,365 spectators, including 2,100 away fans who will be seated in the north-east stand. The resale market will be open until 13:00 CET on match day. Ticket holders can legally offer their season tickets or day tickets for resale in the BVB ticket shop if they are unable to attend the match at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK in person. Ticket holders do not have to hand over their individual tickets or season tickets as the tickets can be blocked electronically and then reactivated. The resale market is available for all sold-out home matches.
Kits: BVB black and yellow
Borussia Dortmund will play in their yellow home shirt with black shorts and yellow socks (get your home kit now and receive a free flock print until 15 March!). FC Augsburg will play in white shirts with red and green horizontal stripes, white shorts and socks.
Referee: Dankert will have the whistle
Bastian Dankert, a 45-year-old referee from Rostock, will take charge of a Bundesliga match involving BVB for the 13th time. When he has refereed, BVB have won eight games, drawn two and lost two. The FIFA referee last refereed BVB when they played away in Munich (1-2) in October last year. René Rohde and Robert Wessel will be the assistant referees. Tom Bauer (fourth official) and Timo Gerach (VAR) complete the team.
Live broadcast: Sky and Netradio
The match will be broadcast live on Sky. Pre-match coverage begins at 14:00 CET. Britta Hofmann will host the programme. Dietmar Hamann will be on hand as an expert commentator. Martin Groß will provide commentary on the match, which will be broadcast on Sky Sport Bundesliga 2. BVB Netradio will be reporting through the usual Black & Yellow lens. The reporters are Norbert Dickel and Boris Rupert. BVB Netradio will begin broadcasting 15 minutes before kick-off. It can be accessed by everyone on the homepage and in the BVB app on iPhone and Android devices. A summary of the match, as well as the press conference and comments on the game, will be available on BVB-TV, among other places.
Weather: rainy but quite mild
The weather forecast for Saturday is rain all day with temperatures up to 9 degrees.
Travel: ticket included in the ticket
This service from BVB and DSW21 is still unique in the Bundesliga: the match ticket for SIGNAL IDUNA PARK is valid for travel to and from the stadium throughout the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. This also applies to holders of plastic season tickets. Holders of a ‘Print@Home ticket’ or a ‘mobile ticket’ (e.g. Apple Wallet) must carry a ticket for public transport in addition to their match ticket, which must be ordered free of charge online on this page.
Live ticker: over to the app
BVB's digital channels operate at full throttle on matchday. And that's not only the case during the match, but throughout the matchday too – starting at 09:09 CET, of course. In "Matchday Mode", the BVB app (download) offers news, pictures, posts, videos, statistics and plenty more match info besides. The live ticker starts at kick-off and updates you on all the important moments. In addition to the live ticker, there will be full match highlights, statistics and first-hand info on our WhatsApp, X, Facebook and Instagram social media channels. The match report plus reactions and facts will follow on the website and on the app after the final whistle.
