The Black & Yellow schedule for July
Wednesday, 10 July: Start of training in Dortmund
Head coach Nuri Sahin will call on his team to start training on 10 July, which as usual will include performance diagnostics and the traditional lactate test at the training ground in Dortmund-Brackel. The Black & Yellow internationals, who are in action with their teams at the European Championships, will start their preparations at a later date.
Friday, 12 July (18:00 CEST): DEW21 dream game
Just two days after the start of training, the Black & Yellows will play their first friendly of preseason. At the Montanhydraulik Stadium in Holzwickede, Borussia Dortmund will face the DEW21 team, which has been put together from amateur players from the region. More than 5,000 spectators will be able to watch the match live at the stadium, which will also be broadcast on television and streamed online. Click here for tickets!
Wednesday, 17 July (18:00 CEST): Erzgebirge Aue - BVB
Erzgebirge Aue fought their way to a strong sixth place in the past third division season. BVB's U23s suffered a 2-0 defeat in the first leg last season and drew the second leg (2-2) - Borussia Dortmund's professionals will visit the club from Saxony at the Erzgebirge Stadium on 17 July. Tickets are still available for the match.
Friday, 19 July: Start of the Asia tour
BVB will once again visit Asia: On 19 July, the Borussia squad will travel to Thailand and Japan, where Nuri Sahin's team will play two friendly matches. On 25 July, the Black & Yellows will return to Dortmund.
Sunday, 21 July (15:00 CEST): BG Pathum United vs. BVB
BVB's tour of Asia first takes them to Thailand, where their first stop will be in the capital Bangkok. There, BVB will face reigning League Cup winners BG Pathum United in a test match. Kick-off is at 8pm local time (15:00 CEST) at BG Stadium and the match will be broadcast live on BVB TV.
Wednesday, 24 July (12:15 CEST): Cerezo Osaka vs. BVB
A reunion with a Dortmund favourite: As part of the "EuroJapan Cup", BVB will face Cerezo Osaka, the current club of former Black & Yellow Shinji Kagawa, who celebrated two league titles and a DFB-Pokal win during his time at BVB. Kick-off at Yanmar Stadium Nagai is at 19:15 local time (12:15 CEST) and the match will be broadcast live on BVB TV.
