Sebastien Haller has been sporting Black and Yellow kit for the past eight days. "These first few days have been great," said the new signing at the training camp. "Everyone has made me feel really welcome. Everything's good, I can't complain."

After moving to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2017, where he played for two years, the striker is back in the Bundesliga. But the situation today is very different from five years ago. "Now I have Bundesliga experience and know what I need to do," Haller explained. "It's not like when I came here aged 23 and knew nothing about the league or Germany. Now I have more experience and I hope it will be enough to be successful." How will he help the team? "By scoring goals. What I offer is my quality both as a player and a person to help us advance as a group."

The 28-year-old wants to use the training camp to get to know his new teammates. "We want to build our game and improve together. There's a good spirit in the team and I'm looking forward to working with everyone." He has been particularly impressed by midfielder Jude Bellingham: "Jude is a crazy player. With his skills on the field, everyone knows he can achieve great things if he continues." Haller has also already spoken with coach Edin Terzic, "not only about tactics, but also about how he wants to lead the team, his view on things as a whole. That's also very important." (cr)
