Interview
Sebastian Kehl: "It remains a very special clash"
Sebastian Kehl to Sky about the injuries to Adeyemi, Couto, Duranville and Reyna:
"We would of course like to have them with us, especially as they are all players who can make the difference. Their speed in particular would have helped us a lot in Madrid. But it's not as if the four of them have only been missing for a day. Since all the other players are there, we will be able to compensate for that tomorrow. Nevertheless, we would of course be delighted if they were all able to return soon."
the special nature of the Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid clash:
"Real Madrid are never business as usual. It remains a very special clash. We have also fought great battles against them, most recently in the Champions League final in London. Now we have a different situation. We are looking forward to this game and also see ourselves as having chances. I believe that the team will approach this task with commitment and anticipation tomorrow. We hope to put in a good performance."
... the approach against the Spanish side:
"We have to play boldly and keep creating chances on the break. They have a lot of individual players who, because of their ability, can make all the difference. We need to be very compact in defence to put ourselves in a good position tomorrow."
... the performance in the last Bundesliga home game against St. Pauli:
"You can't compare the two games. St. Pauli had a different approach to what Real Madrid will have. They will exude a different aura of dominance when playing in the Santiago Bernabéu. Of course we can do things better, but we already improved on several aspects of our play against St. Pauli."
... Marcel Sabitzer's position:
"The coach will be able to answer that question. I believe that Sabitzer can do well for the team in a number of different positions. While playing for his national team he has also shown many times what an asset he can be with his versatility."
