Mats Hummels will be attending farewell game

Mats Hummels will be returning to SIGNAL IDUNA PARK for Jakub Blaszczykowski and Lukasz Piszczek's farewell game. We will officially be saying goodbye to the former Borussian at the game on Saturday (07.09, 17:00 CEST).

"I'm overjoyed to be seeing you all again on Saturday at the farewell match for my two Polish friends," Mats Hummels said in a video message to BVB fans, who will see the former Borussian once again in action on the pitch in Black & Yellow on Saturday. "I'm so happy to have the chance to play for you and to wear the shirt again. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you in the stadium."

Before kick-off, we will officially say farewell to Mats Hummels, who will be playing for Kuba's team, on the pitch in front of 80,000 fans. There are still a few remaining tickets for the game in the online ticket shop. Here you can find everything you need to know for the farewell game on Saturday.

BVB and Mats Hummels went their separate ways in June 2024. The central defender, who will be playing for AS Roma in future, played in 508 competitive games for BVB over the course of 13 years, and celebrated two Bundesliga titles and two DFB Cup victories with the Black & Yellows, as well as reaching the Champions League final twice.
