Visitor information and programme of events for the farewell game

On 7 September at 17:00 CEST, the farewell game for the two former BVB players Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski will be taking place in SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. Over 80,000 fans will be in attendance. Here you can find everything you need to know about the stadium and the programme of events.

14:30: Doors open to SIGNAL IDUNA PARKThe stadium will open two and a half hours before the start of the game. Up until 90 minutes before kick-off, "Happy hour" will be making a return, with a 19.09% discount on all food and drinks.

16:00: Programme begins

16:15: Teams come onto the pitch to warm up

Kuba and Piszczek's teams consist of the two players' former teammates. You can find out who is playing and for which team here. There will be around 100 children to welcome the players onto the pitch.

17:00: Kick-off

From 17:00 the ball will be in play. During half-time (beginning at 17:45), a team of 100 children will take on Kuba, Piszczek and BVB head coach Nuri Sahin on the pitch at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.

Tickets

Over 80,000 tickets have already been sold, and the last few remaining tickets can be bought from the online ticket shop. Season tickets are not valid for the farewell game. 

Getting to the stadium

  • If you are taking public transport to the stadium, you will need to add a separate, free travel ticket to your digital BVB entry ticket via the DSW21 portal
  • All car parks in the events complex will be open. However, the car park Luftbad is only open to those with the relevant parking permit.
  • A shuttle bus (Otto-Hahn-Straße) will be available.
  • On the day of the farewell game, it will not be permitted to stop on Strobelallee.
  • The A40 between BO-West and Bochum-Harpen is closed.
  • Closure of the Ardey tunnel lane coming from the direction of the city centre, diversion via oncoming lane and U-turn.

Entering the stadium

  • All entrances are open, entry is only permitted with a valid ticket.
  •  Wheelchair users and visitors with visual impairments can access the stadium via the same entrances they would use for a normal game. 
  • However, there is now a different route for those using the special entrance Südost (this particularly affects those with disabilities) due to building works in Schwimmweg. Volunteers will be on hand to help with any questions. 
  • Bags larger than A4 size, as well as pushchairs and prams, cannot be brought into the stadium (there is a "pram drop-off point" in the Luftbad car park in the area "Row B"). 

FanWelt and BORUSSEUM

  • The FanWelt will be open to visitors from 10:00.
  • The BORUSSEUM is open from 9:30 until 17:00.
