Lars Ricken offers words of gratitude for the BVB fans

Lars Ricken, Borussia Dortmund's managing director of sport, sent a big thank you to the BVB fans after the 6-0 home win over 1 FC Union Berlin on Saturday evening.

"They are going through a very challenging season with us and really haven't had much to celebrate in the Bundesliga in recent months. Nevertheless, they are always there, spurring the team on during the 90 minutes and support us with all their hearts in the stadium, both away and at home," said Ricken, adding: "When you see what a firework display our fans put on today - starting with the tifo and right up to the final whistle - it leaves you with a sense of joy, pride and humility. A big thank you, also on behalf of the team, to all the Dortmund fans among the 81,365 spectators."
