Travel information for the home game against Kiel – Road and rail restrictions

On Saturday, Borussia Dortmund will host Holstein Kiel at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK (kick-off 15:30 CEST). In terms of transport to the stadium, several train connections are cancelled and various motorways are closed.

  • There will be major restrictions due to construction work. The RE 57 (Dortmund - Winterberg) and RB 53 (Dortmund - Schwerte - Iserlohn) lines from Dortmund main station will be cancelled and replaced by a rail replacement service (Max-Planck-Gymnasium, Ardeystraße stop).
  • The special TRI train will depart Hamm main station at 13:24 and stop at Signal Iduna Park station at 13:57.
  • After the match, the special TRI train will depart Signal Iduna Park station at 17:58 and return in the direction of Hamm.
  • After the match, the special train in the direction of Lünen will depart Signal Iduna Park station at 18:10 and arrive at Dortmund main train station at 18:16.

Combi-tickets and passenger information

BVB tickets are valid on the day of the match as a combi-ticket for a return journey. The ticket can be used on all surcharge-free local trains (second class carriage) as well as all buses and trains operated by local transport companies throughout NRW. Arrival by car

  • The A1 is closed in both directions between the Leverkusen and Leverkusen-West junctions.
  • The A42 is closed in both directions between Herne-Crange and Herne-Baukau.
  • Due to renovation works on the A45 Brunsbecke viaduct, the carriageway in the direction of Dortmund must be fully closed. Traffic will be routed via the U41 diversion signposted in blue.
  • The A52 is closed in both directions between Essen-Haarzopf and Essen-Rüttenscheid.
