BVB youngsters on international duty

Borussia Dortmund's talented youngsters from the Youth Performance Centre are on the radar of the DFB coaches and have been invited to the matches of the DFB junior national teams.

Mussa Kaba from the U19s is part of the U17 national team squad that will be playing in the European Championships in Albania from 19 May to 1 June and defending the title that was won two years ago by a team that included Borussia's Kjell Wätjen and Almugera Kabar, as well as Chris Herrmann (now Borussia Mönchengladbach) and Paris Brunner (now Cercle Brugge). Jan-Mattis Wehrbein, one of the three goalkeepers called up last time, has dropped to the standby list.

The U18s will play an international fixture against Denmark in Göttingen on 14 May. The squad includes U19 defender Tyler Meiser. Nick Cherny and Elias Benkara are on the standby list.

Four players from the U17s will represent BVB in the U16s' double-header against Italy in Florence (21 and 24 May): Marwan Omir Mirza, Ahmad Najdi, Jan Luca Riedl and Fadi Zarqelain. Johann Lasse Jaensch and Desmond Ogochuku Ndlovu have been put on the standby list.
