Two Borussia players make 2024/25 'Team of the Season'

Two Borussia Dortmund players were nominated for the 2024/25 Bundesliga ‘Team of the Season’ – and both Serhou Guirassy and Nico Schlotterbeck ultimately made the final cut. Guirassy had previously been named the Player of the Month for February, while Schlotterbeck was voted the Player of the Month for March.

The 'Team of the Season' consists of a goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three attackers. Robin Zentner (1. FSV Mainz 05), Jonathan Tah (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Dayot Upamecano (FC Bayern Munich), Alphonso Davies (FC Bayern Munich), Michael Olise (FC Bayern Munich), Florian Wirtz (Bayer 04 Leverkusen), Jamal Musiala (FC Bayern Munich), Hugo Ekitiké (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Harry Kane (FC Bayern Munich) also made the 'Team of the Season'.

Serhou Guirassy had already featured in the 'Team of the Season' last term, when he was still a VfB Stuttgart player. Gregor Kobel and Waldemar Anton (for VfB Stuttgart) were also part of the team in the 2023/24 campaign.

A total of five goalkeepers, 12 defenders, 15 midfielders and 10 forwards were shortlisted based on the official Bundesliga statistics. All the winners of the 'Player of the Month' award in the 2024/25 season were automatically nominated as well. The votes of the fans were weighted at 40%, while the club captains and an expert panel of Bundesliga legends and media partners each contributed 30% to the final result. The award is presented by the German Football League (DFL) in cooperation with EA Sports.
