Kobel: "Strong reaction in the second half"

After the 2-2 draw in Leipzig, BVB goalkeeper Gregor Kobel was frustrated about the penalty decision against Karim Adeyemi, which was not reviewed by the VAR (“Penalties have been given for less”), and praised the entire team's response in the second half. The first reaction to the match.

But in the second half, the whole team reacted very strongly and fought our way back into the game away from home. Compared to other years when we've played here, it was a good game, especially in the second half. It's a shame that we didn't win. We have to harness the emotions we felt after the equaliser.”

This was followed by a fairly dominant, controlled period for Borussia, who were very effective in their counter-pressing but couldn't quite close down the right side of their defence. The end of the game was wild and hectic, with eight minutes of added time. And sure enough, Ryerson and Couto drove the ball forward, Brandt played it through to Adeyemi, who crossed into the middle, where Fabio Silva slotted home from a tight angle to make it 2-2 (90+5). Brandt even had a chance to score the winner, but Vandevoordt saved (90+8).<\/p>\nOutlook \n <\/b>On Wednesday (18:45 CET, live on DAZN), BVB travel to Bergamo to play Atalanta for a place in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
