Reactions: “Not bad, but not what we wanted”

Nico Schlotterbeck and Gregor Kobel were not satisfied with the 1-1 draw against Leipzig. “At the end of the day, we have to accept the 1-1 given how the game went,” the goalkeeper said. Here are the initial reactions from the game.

Nico Schlotterbeck (on Sky): “We’re still unbeaten, but for me, it’s two points too few. In the first half, we went behind from a stupid set piece goal. After that, we came back well, and had the game under control. In the second half, it was really end to end. If Fabio had done his thing at the end, we would’ve gone home happy – but we couldn’t quite manage the lucky punch. So we’ve got a point against Leipzig: now it’s not bad, but it’s not what we wanted.”

Gregor Kobel im Sky-Interview.

Gregor Kobel (on Sky): “You could see in the first half that we had played on Wednesday evening. I still thought it wasn’t a bad game from us. Leipzig did well too, and consistently created chances. We might have been able to carve out one or two more chances. That would have been important. But at the end of the day, we have to accept the 1-1 given how the game went."
