Borussia Dortmund will be able to use the full capacity and power of SIGNAL IDUNA PARK for the first time in the UEFA Champions League next season and play in front of 81,365 fans.

The UEFA Executive Committee today approved a request to this effect, which was jointly initiated by BVB. According to this decision, all clubs from Germany, England and France that qualify for a European competition and meet UEFA's criteria will be able to offer their fans standing tickets even on foreign soil next season as part of an "observer programme".

"That's great news. Standing tickets are an important part of our football culture. Borussia Dortmund have been working hard behind the scenes in recent years to obtain permission for safe-standing areas in European competitions. I would like to thank the President of UEFA, Aleksander Ceferin, and the Executive Committee of UEFA, for their support. I would ask all fans to behave responsibly with this opportunity next season," said Borussia Dortmund's CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke. Dortmund's stadium capacity in the UEFA Champions League will thus increase by more than 15,000 tickets, rising from 66,099 to 81,365.

BVB will provide more information about the ticketing procedure before the draw for the group stages on 25 August.
