H.I.S. First regional partner in Japan

H.I.S. becomes Borussia Dortmund‘s first regional partner in Japan.

The partnership between Borussia Dortmund and H.I.S. strengthens this deep connection between the club and Japan even further.

Since Shinji Kagawa and Mitsuru Maruoka joined the playing squad at Borussia Dortmund, thousands of Japanese football fans have set out to visit the club and the city of Dortmund. For their part, Borussia Dortmund have opened a year-round soccer school in Japan and provide their fans with all the latest news surrounding BVB through a Japanese-language website. The partnership between Borussia Dortmund and H.I.S. strengthens this deep connection between the club and Japan even further. The Japanese travel agency is the first regional partner worldwide to co-operate with BVB solely in its home country.

“The new partnership with H.I.S. underlines the great appeal Borussia Dortmund carries in Japan. Together, we can now enable even more Japanese football fans to experience BVB first-hand in their home country”, said Carsten Cramer, director of sales and marketing at Borussia Dortmund.
Headquarted in Tokyo, H.I.S. will offer travel packages to all BVB home matches at the Signal Iduna Park, Germany’s largest football stadium. It is no coincidence that the partnership was announced on 19 December: Both Borussia Dortmund and H.I.S celebrate their birthday today.

The lads have the opportunity to prove themselves and take the next step,\u201d says Rios.<\/p>\n<h2>Strong record from last season<\/h2>\n<p>A look back at last season shows that the competition has recently been a success story for BVB. After victories over Leeds United (3\u20130), West Ham United (2\u20131), and AFC Sunderland (3\u20131), as well as a loss to Manchester United (0\u20132), Dortmund secured first place in the group. In the quarterfinals, they defeated Everton FC 2\u20130, before also beating Real Sociedad 2\u20130 in the semifinals. In the final against Real Madrid, BVB ultimately capped off its debut PLIC season with the title.<\/p>\n<h2>The roster<\/h2>\n<p>BVB traditionally relies on a mix of U19 and U23 players.
