Neven Subotic completed a stellar comeback following a 252-day spell on the sidelines with injury by scoring an 87th-minute winner as Borussia Dortmund's U23s won one of their games in hand against SV Rödinghausen in the Regional League.

One of the first to congratulate the defender was former coach and current Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp, who declared: "How awesome is that?!"

Subotic last featured for BVB when they won 2-1 away at Tottenham Hotspur in the last 16 of UEFA Europa League, but thrombosis in his arm and a rib operation during the summer have kept the Serb sidelined for the eight months since. (br)
