What all BVB fans already knew for a long time, the respected British newspaper "The Times" now confirmed: Borussia´s stadium, the Signal Iduna Park, is the best and most beautiful football stadium in the world. In their ranking, "The top ten football stadiums", The Times lists Milan´s Giuseppe Meazza stadium on second place ahead of Liverpool´s Anfield ground.

On "Times online" the paper explains their decision as follows: "Borussia Dortmund´s ground is a classic. Two huge end terraces that fling noise down at the playing area with deafening intensity. This place was built for football and for fans to express themselves. Every European Cup final should be held here. The best atmosphere on the Continent on a game-to-game basis."
By looking at the other grounds in the ranking, The Times´ praise is even more remarkable:
4th place: Inonu Stadium Istanbul (Besiktas)
5th place: Allianz Arena, Munich
6th place: Bernabéu, Madrid
7th place: La Bombonera, Buenos Aires (Boca Juniors)
8th place: Stadionul Dinamo, Bucharest
9th place Nou Camp, Barcelona
10th place: Craven Cottage, London (Fulham)
