Open FanModus in the BVB app before the official kickoff and navigate to the timer window. You decide for yourself whether you want to participate in the contest.
3. Collect entries
The timer starts with the official kickoff. For your time to count, the timer window must be the last window you opened. Then you can lock your phone and set it aside. Time is tracked during the game, but not during halftime or stoppage time, so a maximum of 90 minutes will be counted in total.
The timer may take up to two minutes to start. The time will be credited to you.
4. Claim your prizes
After the game, return to the BVB app. There, you’ll see your phone-free minutes and the tickets you’ve earned.
Questions about FanModus
FanModus is a minigame in the BVB app. Put your smartphone aside during the Bundesliga home game at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK and focus on the action on the field. For every phone-free minute, you’ll earn time that you can later submit as entries for the giveaway.
The timer starts automatically at kickoff and runs for a maximum of 45 minutes per half. You can track a total of 90 minutes. If you switch to another app or actively use your phone, your time won’t be counted during that moment. As soon as you return to the timer window, the timer will continue running. It may take a few seconds for it to restart. Don’t worry: the time will be credited to you.
After the final whistle, you’ll see your result. To submit your entries for the giveaway, return to FanModus in the BVB app after the game.

Contest: Entries, Participation, and Prizes
You receive one entry for every minute you’re not on your phone. This increases your chance of winning a Black and Yellow prize. Logged-in users automatically submit their accumulated minutes as entries for the sweepstakes after the game.
You must be at least 16 years old and have a BVB account to participate in the giveaway.
After the game ends, open the timer window again, view your collected raffle tickets, and submit them for the raffle.
The winners will be contacted by email within one week after the game.
