Changes to the Supervisory Board
Christian Kullmann, a member of the Supervisory Board since May 2007 and its Chairman since September 2021, and Bodo Löttgen (a member of the Supervisory Board since November 2019) have decided to step down from the Supervisory Board on 25 November, when their respective terms of office expire.
"We would like to thank Christian Kullmann and Bodo Löttgen for their many years of service on the Supervisory Board. Christian Kullmann has chaired the Supervisory Board for many years. He has done a great job, has always maintained the necessary critical distance and has reliably fulfilled his duties at all times. Our personal relationship has always been characterised by great trust," declared Chairman of the Board of Management Hans-Joachim Watzke.
The Supervisory Board will propose Christian Schmid and Michael Zorc as the successors to the two departing members at the Annual General Meeting in November 2024. Christian Schmid is Group General Counsel at Evonik Industries AG in Essen. Michael Zorc served as a player from 1981 to 1998 and subsequently as sporting manager until 2005 and then as sporting director until June 2022. He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of the stock-listed company adesso SE in Dortmund.
All other current members of the Supervisory Board – Judith Dommermuth, Silke Seidel, Matthias Bäumer, Bernd Geske, Dr Reinhold Lunow, Ulrich Leitermann and Prof. Dr Bernhard Pellens – are standing for re-election and will be put forward for re-election by the Supervisory Board at the Annual General Meeting on 25 November 2024.
