Ramy Bensebaini wins award for best Algerian player

The online platform “La Gazette du Fennec” has given out the “Fennec d’Or” award for the first time. At the award ceremony in Paris, BVB player Ramy Bensebaini was honoured as Algerian footballer of the year.

The jury highlighted Bensebaini’s “technique, strength, elegance and consistency”. The Borussia player prevailed over Mohamed Amine Amoura (VfL Wolfsburg), Riyad Mahrez (Al-Ahli), Amine Gouiri (Olympique Marseille) and Rayan Aït-Nouri (Manchester City).

Bensebaini joined BVB in the summer of 2023. In the current season, he has made a total of 14 appearances in the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal and the UEFA Champions League (two goals, one assist). The Algeria international recently helped his country qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
