Fan information for the away game in Bochum

On Saturday, BVB will be the visitors at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion in Bochum (kick-off 15:30 CET). Around 3,000 fans from Dortmund will travel to support the team in Bochum. We have put together all the relevant information for you below. 

Arrival:

Arrival by car/nine-seater/coach:

  • The ‘Stadionring’ multi-storey car park is available for away fans.

o From the A40, take the ‘Stadion’ exit and turn left directly at the exit into the ‘Stadionring’ multi-storey car park.

o Address: Stadionring 26, 44791 Bochum

  • The cost of parking for cars is €4. Payment is in cash at the entrance.
  • Coaches and nine-seaters can park in the car park next to the away car park.
  • The parking fee is €10. Payment is in cash at the entrance.
  • From the away car park, the away entrance can be reached via a short footpath. To do this, walk parallel to the ‘Stadionring’ street past the ‘Starlight Express’ and the ‘RuhrCongress Bochum’ in the direction of the stadium.

Public transport

  • On Saturday, there will be two shuttle trains from Dortmund main station to Bochum and back after the game:

Departure from Dortmund main station:

o 12:21 CET from platform 26

o 12:52 CET from platform 21

Return from Bochum main station:

o 18:14 CET from platform 6

o 18:33 CET from platform 5

  • From Bochum Central Station, take the underground line 308/318 in the direction of Gerthe/Schürbankstrasse to the Planetarium stop. The fare is included in the admission ticket.
  • The Vonovia Ruhr Stadium can be reached on foot from Bochum Central Station in about 20 minutes. Important: Construction work is currently taking place in the Castroper Strasse area, which makes a changed route necessary.
  • Please therefore follow the instructions and directions of the Bochum police and the corresponding information in the fan letter from the police.

Admission:

  • The stadium opens at 13:30 CET.
  • Access to the away section is only possible via the separate away entrance.
  • Print@Home tickets must be printed out. Tickets on your mobile phone cannot be scanned at the entrance.
  • No access for away fans in the home area, i.e. the Ostkurve, blocks N1, M and M1, and A-D.
  • Persons who are visibly intoxicated and behaving suspiciously may be refused entry to the stadium area.
  • There is no left-luggage office at the stadium. Rail travellers are recommended to rent a locker at the main station.
  • There is a ban on glass containers in and around the stadium.

Permitted fan paraphernalia:

  • Five drums (already registered)
  • Three megaphones (already registered)
  • Fence and fan club banners, as long as space is available

o Maximum size for fence flags: height 1.10 metres

o It is not allowed to cover the openings of the escape gates and advertising boards

  • Flags with a stick length of up to 1.50 metres
  • Five banners (flagpoles may be a maximum of 4.50 metres long)

Not allowed:

  • double-holders
  • block flags
  • pyrotechnics of any kind

Permitted items:

  • Small bags up to the size of an A4 sheet of paper

Prohibited items:

  • Bags larger than A4 format
  • power banks
  • liquids
  • bottles and thermos flasks
  • cameras with detachable lenses
  • It should also be noted that clothing from the brand ‘Thor Steinar’ is not allowed in the Vonovia Ruhr Stadium. The same applies to all other fashion labels with a racist, xenophobic, extremist and/or discriminatory background, even if this is not criminally relevant.

Stadium:

  • The away section is located in blocks E1 (standing) and E2 and F (seating).
  • Low-alcohol beer will be served in the away section.
  • You can pay in the stadium by debit card, credit card, Apple/Google Pay or in cash.
  • Please also note the applicable stadium regulations.

‘Eighteen EIGHTEEN: FORTY’ point of contact:

  • The point of contact is an additional and discreet offer of help for anyone in the stadium who feels unsafe, threatened or harassed, or experiences discrimination, inappropriate behaviour or violence.
  • On match days, specially trained volunteers can be reached by phone and via common messenger services on the mobile number 0151/41445236 from two hours before and up to one hour after the final whistle. However, all members of the volunteer, security, kiosk, fan representative, fan project, medical service and VfL staff groups are also approachable.

Information for wheelchair users:

  • Wheelchair users should use the entrance at the Marathon Gate. This is located at Block N.
  • The car park for wheelchair users is located in the ‘P-Medien’ car park.

o Access is via Küpperstrasse.

o The blue parking permit is sufficient to gain access and must be shown at the entrance.

Additional information:

  • There are no facilities available for people under stadium ban in the stadium surroundings.
  • The Bochum police have addressed the following fan letter to BVB fans.
