BVB dismiss Jan Zimmermann

Borussia Dortmund have relieved U23 coach Jan Zimmermann of his duties with immediate effect. Ingo Preuss, sporting director of the U23s, informed the 45-year-old of the decision in a private conversation.

After three defeats in a row, the Black & Yellows' U23s are in 16th place in the 3. Liga. Mike Tullberg will take over for the last two games of the season. The former BVB U19 coach was originally not due to take over as coach of the U23s until the new season. Due to the latest developments on the pitch, the 39-year-old will be sitting on the bench for the clash with the VfB Stuttgart U23s on Friday evening (19:00 CEST, Rote Erde stadium).
