BVB sign Patrick Drewes
Drewes has played over 100 games in the Bundesliga 2 in his career. In the 2024/25 season, the Delmenhorst native made 21 appearances for VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga.
“We are delighted that Patrick will be joining our group of goalkeepers in the coming years. With Gregor Kobel, Alex Meyer and him, we are very well equipped in this position. Patrick has a lot of experience, is a good guy and knows the Ruhr area well. He will be fully committed to our team in his role and is eager to celebrate success together with the lads,” said BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
Patrick Drewes emphasises: “After I heard about BVB’s interest and had talks with the people in charge, it was clear to me that I wanted to make the move to Dortmund. I want to do my part to help the team be successful by performing well in training every day, and I’m looking forward to being part of one of the biggest clubs in Europe.”
