BVB youngsters to participate in Premier League International Cup

Borussia Dortmund's youth team will participate in the prestigious Premier League International Cup this season. The tournament, which has been held since 2014, takes place in England and offers international youth teams the opportunity to compete against the best U21 teams in the Premier League.

Only U21 teams are eligible to compete, with a maximum of two outfield players and one goalkeeper over the age of 21. The matches are played either in the host clubs' professional stadiums or in alternative venues.

The tournament format consists of four groups of four English Premier League 2 clubs and four international teams invited by the Premier League. Each team will play four matches, with the pairings always representing a clash between an English and an international team. The two best-placed teams in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals. From the semi-finals onwards, the matches will be played exclusively in the stadiums of the host clubs.

Borussia Dortmund have been drawn in Group D and will play four matches in England in December and January.

The match dates for the group stage have already been confirmed:

19 December, 20:00 CET: Manchester United - Borussia Dortmund
13 January, 20:00 CET: West Ham United - Borussia Dortmund
