Schlotterbeck in team training, Silva partially integrated

BVB coach Niko Kovac had jotted some notes about the personnel situation on a piece of paper prior to the Wolfsburg game: “So I don't forget anything.” There was positive news regarding Nico Schlotterbeck, Fabio Silva and Aaron Anselmino at the press conference ahead of the Bundesliga clash with VfL (September 21, 19:30 CEST, live on DAZN).

Having already taken part in the training session for the substitutes on Wednesday morning following the away game in Turin, Nico Schlotterbeck completed the team training session with his team-mates this Friday. “If he feels good tomorrow, he's definitely an option for the squad,” said Kovac of his centre-back, who sustained a torn meniscus in his knee in April.

Aaron Anselmino has recently been sidelined by muscular problems. He trained individually on Friday, "but we expect that he will train together with the team tomorrow. Then we'll see whether he's okay for the weekend."

New signing Favio Silva trained with his new team-mates for the first time today. He completed parts of the training session.

Emre Can, Niklas Süle and Julien Duranville remain sidelined.
