BVB en route to training camp – here are the players making the trip

After a two-week break from football, Borussia Dortmund's professionals are heading to their training camp in Marbella on the second day of the year. The Borussia players will be spending the week on the Costa del Sol preparing for the second half of the season, which begins in a week's time with an away game at Eintracht Frankfurt (9 January). A total of 27 players are going to Spain.

Pascal Gross has been given permission to hold talks with another club and will therefore not be travelling to Marbella.

Manager Niko Kovac will have to do without Ramy Bensebaini, who is currently playing for Algeria in the Africa Cup of Nations and will face the Democratic Republic of Congo in the round of 16 on Tuesday.

Mathis Albert, Samuele Inacio and Mussa Kaba from the youth team will be travelling to Spain with the professionals.

After arriving in Malaga, the BVB entourage will travel to Marbella, around 35 minutes away, where the Black & Yellows will be based for the next few days. The first training session will take place on Friday afternoon at 17:00 CET at the Banus Football Centre (Dama de Noche) training ground and will be open to fans.
