Pascal Gross moves to Brighton & Hove Albion
BVB signed Gross from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2024. Since then, the German international has played in 66 competitive matches for the team currently second in the Bundesliga table. The midfielder has scored one goal and set up 17 others. The right-footed player has made 16 appearances so far this season. Now Gro is returning to the Premier League to the club he played for from 2017 to 2024.
BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl explains: "Pascal has been an important player for us over the past year and a half, helping us to qualify for the Champions League, especially in the final stages of last season. He has now approached us with a desire for a change, through which he hopes to get more playing time than he has had so far this season. We have agreed to this because Pascal is a top professional and is held in very high esteem and respect by us for his conduct on and off the pitch. We wish him and his family all the best for his future."
Pascal Gross says: "Playing for Borussia Dortmund was a lifelong dream come true for me. Running out in front of the Yellow Wall in our stadium was an indescribable feeling every time. I would like to thank BVB and those responsible and wish the club and its incredible fans all the best."
