International Talents from BVB Partner Academies Visit Dortmund
All of the young talents were scouted and selected from BVB partner academies around the world. More than half of them currently play for a youth national team or are being developed through their country’s national association program.
The program offered intensive athletic experiences: In addition to performance assessments conducted according to the standards of the BVB Youth Academy, the schedule included training sessions at the BVB Evonik Soccer Academy and the Youth Academy, team and individual analyses, a visit to the Footbonauten, and practice matches against BVB’s U15 and older teams. Other highlights included a group visit to the Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen, stadium and BORUSSEUM tours, and a visit to the German Soccer Museum. Carsten Cramer, Chairman of the BVB Board of Management, also visited the group during their stay.
The goal of the “Global School of Excellence” is to bring together talented players from BVB’s international partnerships. They are encouraged to learn from one another, become familiar with different training systems, and develop both athletically and personally.
Borussia Dortmund is thus creating a platform for international talent development and bringing BVB’s partner academies around the world to life.
