+++ “There’s Only One Direction” +++
Facing the Spanish side, which has yet to drop a point this season, the Black and Yellows are looking to secure their third win in four games. BVB coach Niko Kovac is counting on tactical flexibility and the fans’ support, as he made clear at the press conference. “Tomorrow, there’s only one direction: We want to win this one!” said Kovac. Gregor Kobel is also heading into the match with confidence. Despite the tight schedule—with seven games in the last three weeks—the goalkeeper believes the team is in good physical shape: “Based on how I see the team and how I feel myself, I have to say: We’re all at a very, very high athletic level. We feel good and are ready to perform every few days.”
+++ Here’s how the final training session went +++
The cones were set up and the markers were already in place when the BVB first team took the field on Tuesday morning for their final training session ahead of the match against Real Betis. The thermometer read eight degrees, and a light breeze was blowing. But that didn’t stop Jobe Bellingham, Maxi Beier, and Serhou Guirassy from wearing shorts.
+++ Secondary Market Open +++
Anyone who wants to be at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK but doesn’t have a ticket yet has a chance to get one on the official BVB secondary market. There, ticket holders can legally list their season tickets or day passes for resale in the BVB ticket shop up to two and a half hours before kickoff if they are unable to attend SIGNAL IDUNA PARK in person. The ticket does not need to be physically handed over, as it is electronically blocked and then activated for the new holder.
+++ A Club with Tradition and a Green Soul +++
The Spanish club Real Betis is visiting Dortmund. The club’s colors, green and white, define its identity—its fans and players are called “béticos.” Betis is one of Spain’s most historic clubs and is deeply rooted in Andalusia in particular. The club’s history includes the 1935 league title as well as three Spanish Cup victories (1977, 2005, and 2022). Internationally, the club made headlines in 2025 by reaching the final of the UEFA Conference League.
+++ Good morning from Dortmund +++
Borussians are preparing today for their fourth UEFA Champions League match of the 2026–27 season, which kicks off Wednesday evening at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. The final training session will take place this morning at the training facility in Dortmund-Brackel. In the afternoon, Niko Kovac and Gregor Kobel will answer questions from journalists at the press conference.
