Next BVB duo back in Dortmund

With Marcel Sabitzer and Ramy Bensebaini, two more World Cup participants are back in Dortmund. The two began preseason training on Monday with the mandatory performance testing.

While their teammates set off on the BVB Evonik Japan Tour and explored the city of Osaka several thousand kilometers away, Sabitzer and Bensebaini pushed themselves on the treadmill and completed additional performance tests. The Austrian midfielder and the Algerian defender had both been eliminated with their national teams in the Round of 32 of the World Cup and were now returning from vacation.

The last players expected back are Julian Ryerson and Gregor Kobel, who advanced to the World Cup quarterfinals with Norway and Switzerland, respectively.
