BVB thrills fans in Tokyo at public training session

On the evening before the friendly match against FC Tokyo, Borussia Dortmund hosted the final public training session of the BVB Evonik Japan Tour. Around 1000 fans gathered at the National Stadium to watch the session, get autographs, and take souvenir photos.

With temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius, it was still hot on Friday evening, but the humidity had dropped significantly compared to earlier in the day. After passing drills, BVB coach Niko Kovac had the team practice attacking plays that ended with shots on goal – all watched intently by the fans in the stands. A group of children waving BVB flags, in particular, kept the energy high and celebrated every shot on goal with loud cheers.

“BVB” chants ring out from the stands as the players make their way toward the fans. As Serhou Guirassy walks by, the chants shift to “Guirassy” – and when he waves to them, cheers erupt. Daniel Svensson approaches a group holding up a sign with his name on it. The children have long since spotted Felix Nmecha and are enthusiastically calling out his name. The noise reaches its peak when they spot Jobe Bellingham.
